Best Places To Grab A Beer In The Smokies

Updated: Oct 6, 2020

The Smokies are known to be a family destination for some, but also a getaway for couples, friends and honeymooners. Below I have compiled a list of go to places to enjoy a cold beer. Most of the restaurants/bars are about 10 minutes from Mountain Honey, so it will be a very affordable Uber or Lyft ride to your destination.

The Fox And Parrot Tavern

The Fox And Parrot Tavern is a hidden treasure in The Arts And Craft Community, and boast to be the only British pub in The Smokies. What makes them unique is that they serve Gunniess on draft at the correct temperature, 45 degrees. If you are not a fan of Gunniess, they have over 30 beers on draft and numerous others in bottles.

Yee-Haw Brewing Co.

The Yee-Haw Brewing Co. is located in the middle of The Island in Pigeon Forge, which is about 12 minutes from Mountain Honey. Yee-Haw is know for making some great beer and they brew everything from IPA's to Cerveza's. If you can't decide what to drink you can try a flight. A flight is a sample of 5 different beers.

The Funky Budha

The Funky Budha is more than your typical sports bar. They have 20 beers on tap. Take a seat on the open patio with a cold one and enjoy the view of Pigeon Forge, no matter the season. Also, if you are looking for something a little more stiffer, try the Old Fashioned you won't be disappointed.

There are many places to grab a drink in The Smokies, but Shamrocks in Gatlinburg offers Karaoke for those brave enough to sing a song or two. Live music is another thing that makes them unique. So relax with a cold one and enjoy your night.

Puckers Sports Grill

Finally, we come to the staple of the sports bars in The Smokies, Puckers. Located in the heart of Gatlinburg, drop in and watch a game on one of their 12 Tv's. If you are not a sports fan you can also play a game of pool or darts.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and remember if you drink, don't drive.
